Prof. Ofer Amir

OFER AMIR is a speech-language pathologist, a researcher and a professor at the Tel-Aviv University, Israel. He has earned his bachelor and graduate degrees at the Department of Communication Disorders, at Tel-Aviv University. He then completed a doc-toral degree at the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, at the University of Illinois, under the supervision of Prof. Ehud Yairi.
Prof. Ofer Amir's research focuses on stuttering and speech fluency, as well as on voice and its disorders. In addition, Prof. Amir is an active therapist who specializes in fluency and voice disorders. He supervises students and professionals and conducts therapy at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer, and in his private practice.
