International Conference On Stuttering

TheInternational Conference on Stuttering(I.C.O.S.) is the most important Italian event dedicated entirely to stuttering. Established in 2012 and organized every three years, the conference brings together top international experts from leading universities and research centers to share the latest developments in the field of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of verbal fluency disorders.

The conference offers aunique opportunity for scientific update and discussion on topics ranging from the etiology of stuttering to early diagnosis and the effectiveness of different therapeutic approaches, with a focus on both preschool and adulthood. In a sophisticated and carefully designed setting, I.C.O.S. fosters a constructive dialogue among scholars, clinicians, students and professionals, stimulating new ideas and international collaborations.

A central role is also given to the social events that accompany each day, designed to enhance the host area and create opportunities for informal exchange between participants and speakers. Supporting the scientific quality of the event is a prestigious international scientific committee, composed of leading figures such as Prof. Mark Onslow, Prof. Donatella Tomaiuoli, Prof. Kurt Eggers and Prof. Bridget Walsh.

I.C.O.S.’s vision is to become a global reference for those who wish to further their expertise in the field of stuttering, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge, scientific debate and the development of new research in the field.

In 2027, the International Conference on Stuttering will celebrate its 6th edition.
