2015 Edition

In 2012 the first edition of the International Conference on Stuttering had been an important challenge for all of us. The results and the feedbacks obtained had been so positive, to encourage us to make the Conference a three-years appointment for both the scientific and the professional community.

With such an awareness we designed the Conference second edition.

Thanks to the precious work of the Scientific Committee (Emeritus Professor Ehud Yairi, Professor Mark Onslow and Dr. Donatella Tomaiuoli) and a greater awareness of the importance of this appointment for the two above mentioned communities, we prepared an edition even richer than the first one.

The Conference offered the almost 280 present delegates a selection of international keynote lectures and research reports characterized by a very high content and presentation quality.

Two round tables, one about the success factors in treating pre-school children, the other about psychological aspects of stuttering, stimulated the debate.

Three workshops on therapy enriched and completed the Conference programme, respectively on: the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy, the Lidcombe program and creativity and irony in therapy.

During the Conference, with the opening speech of both the CPLOL President (Dr. Michèle Kaufmann-Meyer) and the FLI President (Dott.ssa Tiziana Rossetto), an affectionate memory was for Dave Rowley, prematurely passed away a few months before.
